Curriculum to Careers
Salaries here attach to job roles. One course can lead to several roles, and several courses can lead to the same role, so no single salary belongs to a course. The medians, growth rates and job counts are national Lightcast figures for the occupations two Franklin analytics programs feed — the M.S. in Business Analytics and the B.S. in Analytics — not outcomes measured on Franklin graduates. Both tables start with every row from both programs showing; the Program filter narrows either one to a single program. A few roles the curriculum names — the finance-side master's ones in particular — are outside their own program's occupation set, so they appear in the first table as plain text with no salary row to link to.

B.S. in Analytics focus areas
The ten B.S. courses in the table above are the analytics backbone every B.S. student completes whichever focus area they choose; the focus courses below are additional to it, and they are what tilts the same backbone toward one career track rather than another.

Careers & salary outlook
Sorted by median salary, highest first. Roles that a course in the table above names are buttons: pick one to filter that table down to the courses supporting it, in the same program. The Median salary and Growth headers sort the table; click a header again to reverse it, and a third time to return to salary order.
Five occupations appear twice here, once per program, and that is not a duplicate row. The two programs were measured by two different Lightcast reports: the master's figures come from the Q1 2026 data set filtered to a Master's degree over postings from January to March 2026, the bachelor's figures from the Q2 2026 data set filtered to a Bachelor's degree over postings from March 2025 to March 2026. Because each report counts a different slice of the workforce, the same occupation legitimately carries two different growth rates and two different 2026 job counts. The national median earnings are identical in both — those come from the occupation, not from the education filter. Neither figure is wrong and neither supersedes the other, so both are shown with the program and the report they came from.

Source for the master's rows: Lightcast Q1 2026 Data Set (April 2026), Program Overview for CIP 30.7102 Business Analytics, United States, with the occupation set filtered to Master's degree. These five are the report's complete set of target occupations — none has been dropped. Median salaries are annualized from the report's hourly medians at 2,080 hours per year; growth and job counts are the report's national figures for the occupation, not Franklin graduate outcomes.
Source for the bachelor's rows: Lightcast Q2 2026 Data Set (June 2026), Program Overview for CIPs 30.7101 Data Analytics General, 30.7102 Business Analytics, 30.7103 Data Visualization, 30.7104 Financial Analytics and 30.7199 Data Analytics Other, United States, with the occupation set filtered to Bachelor's degree, a 2026–2036 jobs timeframe and a job-postings timeframe of March 2025 to March 2026. These ten are that report's complete set of target occupations — none has been dropped either: Computer Programmers is projected to decline by 1.74% and is still here. Median salaries are annualized from the report's hourly medians at 2,080 hours per year, the same way; growth and job counts are the report's national figures for the occupation, not Franklin graduate outcomes. Taken as one set, the report puts the median for these ten occupations at $46.87 per hour — $97,500 a year at 2,080 hours — with +10.4% projected growth.
What employers ask for
The two tables above say which roles a course points at and what those roles pay. They do not show whether employers asked for the skills those courses teach. These three do: the skills and tools named in job postings, the qualifications those postings requested, and the titles the jobs were posted under, over the same three months.
These three tables are master's data only: every figure in them comes from the Lightcast Q1 2026 report behind the M.S. rows of the salary table, so none of it describes the B.S. in Analytics occupation set or its posting window.
Skills and tools in job postings
Specialized skills are the subject-matter ones, Software covers named tools, and Common skills are the general workplace ones. Percentages are the share of all 32,539 unique postings; a posting usually names several skills, so they do not add to 100%.

All ten the report lists, postings descending. Four are security clearances and one is a driver's license: those come from the federal and defense employers inside this occupation set, not from anything the program teaches.

BUSA 604 – Financial Decision Modeling is the one master's course above whose job roles have no salary row to link to; Microsoft Excel (5,336 postings) in the skills table and Chartered Financial Analyst (340 postings) in this one are where it meets this labor-market data.
Top posted job titles
Data Analyst, Business Analyst and Business Systems Analyst are role names the first table uses that have no Lightcast occupation row, so the salary table cannot price them. Employers posted for all three by name. Posting intensity is total postings per unique posting. “Home Shopping Personal Shoppers” is a classifier artifact rather than an analytics job; it is left in because dropping rows would misstate the source.

Source for the three tables above: Lightcast Q1 2026 Data Set (April 2026), Program Overview for CIP 30.7102 Business Analytics, United States, with the occupation set filtered to Master's degree — the same report and vintage as the salary table's master's rows, and not the Q2 2026 report behind its bachelor's rows. The figures cover 32,539 unique job postings from January to March 2026 (73,184 total), and every percentage is a share of those 32,539. SQL, Python and R appear in both the report's specialized-skills list and its software list, with identical postings, percentages and growth rates; they are listed once here, under Software, because they are tools. No row has been dropped from any of the three tables.
